Long-range sensing

BB-MM3-A-1 is the narrowest antenna in the BotBlox mmWave family.

Its narrow horizontal and vertical FoV focuses the radar into a tightly defined area, giving it the longest detection range of the four antenna options.

Detection Range: Up to 200 m for a 0.5 m² RCS target.
Field of view: 12° x 12° FoV (Pencil beam, no angular information, only distance)

Designed for altitude sensing

BB-MM3 is a natural fit for downward-facing applications where you want to know how far you are from the surface below without picking up as much of the surrounding area.

It’s well suited to UAS altitude measurement, terrain following, landing systems, downward ranging and other applications that need long-range sensing in a specific direction.

Modular by design

BB-MM3 uses the same BB-MMB-A-1 Radar Baseboard as every other antenna. If you need a wider FoV later, simply pop this antenna off and snap a different one into place.
